The Westward Ho! Wreck is an oak-framed wreck around 25m long and 7m wide. It is thought to be either the ‘Salisbury’ of London lost in March 1759 or the ‘Sally’ of Bristol lost in September 1769.
Due to shifting sands and tidesthe wreck only becomes uncovered every few years.
This photo was taken in February 2016, which was the last time the wreck was exposed to this extent.A4 (Landscape)
